Job summary

Silverton is seeking an Apprentice Bartender to support bartenders and the front-of-house team in a fast-paced environment in Las Vegas. You will prepare beverages, assist with inventory, and maintain safety and sanitation standards throughout shifts.

You will enter orders in MICROS, handle guest comps and card transactions, monitor par levels, and help with bottle orders from the warehouse. The role requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced bar/restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of flair bartending techniques.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible schedule; weekends and holidays.
• 21+ with SNHD Alcohol Awareness Training Card and Nevada Gaming Control Board registration.
• Mixology certifications are a plus.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders to maintain clean and orderly bars.
• Enter food and beverage orders into MICROS; process guest comps and card payments.
• Maintain proper par stock levels and coordinate liquor orders from warehouse.
• Order bottles from warehouse and verify received orders.
• Label fresh fruit; follow FIFO and proper storage of glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
• Ensure alcohol awareness procedures are followed and comply with safety standards.
• Provide friendly, efficient service and support to guests and team members.

General Summary of Job Duties:The Apprentice Bartender will be responsible for assisting the bartenders in a variety of tasks, such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety and health policies. This role will require excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.Principle Responsibilities and Duties:Assists the Bartenders to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all bars.Must be able to accurately enter food and beverage orders into the MICROS system and follow departmental cash handling procedures with guest comps and credit cards.Work safely, with sanitation, efficiency, and with Guest's loyalty.Adheres to the proper par stock levels at all bars and coolers when executing the liquor order. Must also be able to order bottle for bottle from the warehouse and verify orders that are received from the warehouse daily.Must be able to complete all assigned tasks with minimal supervision and demonstrate a sense of urgency no matter what business volume is at the time.Properly store all glassware, condiments, beer, liquor, and paper products, fruits and garnishes, and any other necessary items to operate an efficient operation.
