Job summary

Athyna is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist for a global biopharmaceutical client reporting to Foster City, CA. You will build, configure, and deploy SFMC campaigns end-to-end, manage audiences, and create HTML emails.

The role emphasizes journey automation, data extensions, and deliverability, with collaboration across medical affairs teams. Fluency in English and 3+ years SFMC experience required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SFMC experience (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio).
• HTML/CSS for email design with responsive rendering.
• Experience with audience segmentation and data extensions in SFMC.
• Ability to work independently on campaign config and troubleshooting.
• Strong English communication to translate stakeholder requests into actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage audience segmentation using data extensions, filters, and lists for accurate targeting.
• Create and send HTML emails using Email Studio with best practices for rendering and deliverability.
• Set up and maintain automated journeys in Journey Builder for Medical Affairs campaigns.
• Troubleshoot campaign issues, monitor performance metrics, and report on engagement data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into SFMC configurations and executions.
• Maintain platform hygiene by managing data structures, suppression lists, and Content Builder organization.

You will be working for our client, a global biopharmaceutical company that researches, develops, and commercializes medicines for life-threatening diseases. They operate a large, cross-functional medical affairs organization and use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to manage communications programs across teams. You will support their Medical Affairs Technology division, contributing to email campaigns and audience management initiatives.

In your day-to-day, you will

Skills you have

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email creation and customization, including responsive design and cross-client rendering.
• Experience managing audience segmentation and data extensions within SFMC.
• Ability to work independently on campaign configuration, send execution, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to manage stakeholder requests and translate them into platform actions.

Skills that will make you stand out

• Experience working in pharma, biotech, or life sciences environments.
• Knowledge of AMPscript or SQL for dynamic content and data queries within SFMC.
• Familiarity with SFMC certifications (Email Specialist or Marketing Cloud Consultant).
