Job summary

The Iowa Air National Guard is seeking a qualified individual for a Title 5 Excepted Service position in Johnston, IA. The role requires a behavioral or social sciences background with at least 24 semester hours in the field and demonstrated experience in analysis, planning and policy development.

Applicants should have experience evaluating objectives, managing resources, preparing reports and leading teams.

Qualifications

A degree in behavioral or social sciences, or related discipline, that included at least 24 semester hours in the behavioral or social sciences.
Alternatively, a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in the behavioral/social sciences with at least 24 semester hours in the field.
Four years of appropriate experience showing knowledge of one or more behavioral sciences equivalent to a major.

Responsibilities

Experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions.
Experience preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence.
Evaluating objectives and developing plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of social science resources.
Applying analytical/evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations.
Leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
