GBMC is seeking a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for adult/adolescent victims. The role emphasizes forensic examination, compassionate care, and coordination with ED staff, law enforcement, and prosecutors.

You will perform evidentiary assessments, document meticulously, and ensure compliance with SAFE protocols. The ideal candidate has specialized SANE training, an MD RN license, CPR certification, and preferably an FNE-A certification.

Qualifications

• Must have attended a specialized training program for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner-Adult/Adolescent.
• Current RN license in Maryland or eligible to practice in MD.
• Healthcare Provider CPR every two years; FNE-A certification preferred or willing to train RN.

Responsabilités

• Completes evidentiary examination per established protocols and documents thoroughly.
• Communicates with victims, families, ED staff, law enforcement and court officers.
• Assess needs for immediate referrals (psych, injuries, safety) and coordinate care accordingly.
• Follow SAFE procedures for lab specimens and medications and document variances.
• Provide referrals to victims and family members.
