Job summary

Catholic Charities Diocese of Des Moines is looking for a dedicated Sexual Assault Advocate to provide outreach and support services to victims of sexual assault and human trafficking in Council Bluffs, Iowa. You will work closely with a committed team to enhance community awareness and advocate for survivors' rights.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a strong commitment to Catholic Charities' mission, along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related job experience and/or training in social services.
• Proficiency in intervention techniques for sexual assault and domestic abuse.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide advocacy services to victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse.
• Assist survivors in finding shelter and transportation services.
• Educate the community on issues of sexual assault and human trafficking.
