Contract Sewing Shop Seeks Manager (Lafayette) - Baseline Contract Sewing, div. Sportwaves Unlimited, Inc.

BaselineContractSewing.com in Lafayette, Colorado, is seeking a well-organized Production Manager with supervision experience for the production of sport bags, strap assemblies, veterinary products, and bag packs. Quality and on-time completion are very important. Excellent customer service skills are essential.

We require you to be skilled in sewing, with real production experience. Please inform us about the industrial sewing machines you have used and the products you have manufactured.

Key Duties include:

1. Production scheduling
2. Managing home sewers
3. Ensuring quality
4. Inventory management and purchasing
5. Sewing tasks as time permits
6. Maintaining a neat, productive, friendly, and upbeat shop environment

Spanish language skills are useful but not required.

Qualifications:

• General knowledge and understanding of manufacturing procedures
• Ability to work well with others, providing supportive direction and critiques
• Discretion in handling confidential information
• Attention to detail and quality
• Effective planning for due dates and production optimization without undue stress

Education / Experience:

Formal training or experience in sewing and manufacturing is preferable. Production experience is important. Computer skills are needed for spreadsheets, order entry, and invoicing functions.
