Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete a periodic, recorded sewing assignment for time and quality of work.
• Proven experience as a sewing machine operator in a manufacturing or textile production environment.
• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines of various types and understanding sewing techniques and terminology.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery according to standard procedures and safety protocols.
• Operate industrial sewing machines of multiple types to stitch fabric or other materials according to Assembly Work Instructions, including cycle times.
• Monitor sewing machine operation to detect defects or deviations and alert leads/supervisors.
• Learn Assembly Work Instructions and defect guidelines provided by management and follow them.
• Report irregularities or issues with materials or processes to leads/supervisors promptly to prevent disruptions.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with work instructions and report issues.
• Handle raw materials and finished products with care, following lifting and handling techniques.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining production equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
