Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Sewing Operator (Level One) to operate or tend sewing machines in the manufacture of our products at the Frederica, Delaware facility. This entry-level role runs on a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and includes a skills evaluation for progression.

The ideal candidate will perform sewing tasks, ensure quality per work instructions, and demonstrate good teamwork and communication. Government contracting eligibility and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Basic sewing skills and ability to pass sewing aptitude evaluation.
• Able to communicate in English (read, write, speak).
• Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and English measurement (fractions and inches).
• Must complete a skills evaluation period up to 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Sew materials by hand or machine to join, reinforce, or decorate fabrics.
• Use sewing equipment and other tools to fabricate product.
• Cut materials according to specifications and remove excess material.
• Mark patterns and position materials for sewing operations.
• Feed materials through machine with precision and alignment.
