Job summary

Domico Med-Device is seeking a Sewing Operator for its Fenton, MI location. This full-time role involves operating industrial sewing machines, following precise work instructions, and contributing to quality control in a medical device production environment.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior sewing experience is a plus. Training will cover sewing techniques and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify defects or quality concerns and communicate issues to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Learn and follow established processes and procedures.
• Work closely with team members to meet production and quality goals.

What You’ll Do

As a Sewing Operator, you'll be responsible for operating sewing equipment and completing hand-on manufacturing processes, including:

Operating industrial sewing machines to sew materials and components according to specifications

Following work instructions, patterns, and production requirements

Measuring, positioning, and aligning materials to ensure accurate sewing and assembly

Inspecting finished work to ensure quality and consistency

Identifying defects or quality concerns and communicating issues to the appropriate team members

Maintaining consistent production quality while meeting daily goals

Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe

Learning and following established processes and procedures

Working closely with team members to meet production and quality expectations

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You don't need to know everything on day one—we're looking for someone with the right attitude who is willing to learn our processes and develop their skills.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong attendance and dependability

Good communication and time-management skills

Preferred:

Previous industrial or commercial sewing experience

Experience operating sewing machines or similar equipment

Previous manufacturing or production experience

Experience working with patterns, measuring tools, or detailed work instructions
