Automation Personnel Services is hiring a Machine Operator in Dalton, GA to operate industrial sewing machines for sports equipment production. You'll set up machines, monitor performance, and ensure quality while maintaining records and safety.

This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire role offering weekly pay and benefits. The position requires sewing experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and dependable, detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines used in production of turf and sports netting equipment.
• Set up machines according to production specifications, including threading, tensioning, and loading of yarn or fabric.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Detect and troubleshoot issues such as thread breaks, yarn misfeeds, or mechanical faults.
• Perform regular cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on assigned machines.
• Inspect finished products to ensure stitching and patterns meet design and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records as required.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate production flow and mechanical issues with supervisors and team members.

Machine Operator

Automation Personnel Services is hiring an experienced Machine Operator with sewing and Knitting skills in Dalton, Ga. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team while providing quality products for a well-established manufacturer of sporting equipment.

Pay Rate

$14.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday –Friday|07:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines used in the production of turf and sports netting equipment.
• Set up machines according to production specifications, including threading, tensioning, and yarn or fabric loading.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure product consistency and adherence to quality standards.
• Detect and troubleshoot issues such as thread breaks, yarn misfeeds, or mechanical faults.
• Perform regular cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on assigned machines.
• Inspect finished products to ensure stitching, seams, and patterns meet design and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production flow or mechanical issues.
