Job summary

Alphapointe seeks a Director, Sewing Operations to lead end-to-end sewing manufacturing for mission-driven production. This leader will merge deep sewing expertise with operational excellence—overseeing people, processes, quality, safety, and delivery—and develop accessible workflows for meaningful employment for people with vision loss.

Responsibilities include overseeing multi-facility production, quality control, HR collaboration, budget involvement, and strategic reporting to DLA/NIB.

Qualifications

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.

• Solution-oriented leadership with safety and quality focus.
• Experience leading multi-site sewing operations.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-facility sewing production across three sites.
• Ensure orders are completed on time and to quality standards.
• Oversee design development, pattern making, grading, and markers.
• Monitor materials and approve additional supplies as needed.
• Direct equipment maintenance, fabric inventory and efficiency testing.
• Manage government-military sewing projects and ensure compliance.
