Job summary

4over is seeking a Sewing Operator for the first shift to set up, adjust, and safely operate sewing equipment to produce quality finished products meeting customer specifications. The role includes training, adherence to company policies, and a structured schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, five days a week, with some variability.

Responsibilities include preparing machines, selecting materials, monitoring performance, maintaining hem line specifications, inspecting outputs, and documenting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency, preferred
• One (1) to two (2) year’s related experience in a wide or large format production environment
• One (1) to two (2) year’s previous experience working with Singer Sewing and/or Juki Sewing machines

Responsibilities

• Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be sewn and production times.
• Setup assigned sewing machine to specifications and run product.
• Refer to orders for sewing garments and select appropriate materials.
• Monitor assigned machine adjusting speed, temperature, and positions of products to ensure machine is maintaining the proper hem line.
• Adjust machine as needed to maintain set specifications and timely flow of materials.
• Inspect and examine products for conformance to specifications and external defects.
• Troubleshoot machine as needed, if possible, it and notifying Supervisor/ Plant Manager.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
• Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Attend all department/company meetings
• Other duties as assigned
