Job summary

Grahamjobs in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator for 1st shift (7:30am-4:00pm). You will operate and maintain sewing machines to assemble various textile products and move materials to maximize warehouse efficiency.

The ideal candidate has proven experience, can read work orders, and maintain quality while meeting production standards. Duties include threading, bobbin changes, needle adjustments, and routine machine maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sewing Machine Operator or similar role.
• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Basic knowledge of fabric types and sewing techniques.
• Effective communication skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods while maneuvering objects.
• Ability to thread machines, change thread bobbins, and change the needle.

Responsibilities

• Operate One-Step Automatic Machines (Labels, Flushing, Snaps, Grommets, and Bag Sealing).
• Retrieve and/or distribute materials as needed.
• Perform regular maintenance on sewing machines to ensure they function properly.
• Perform Bartack Operations with Guides.
• Perform Serger Operations with Guides.
• Perform Single Need Operations with Guides.
• Perform Manual Operations such as Folding, Packing, Marking and Turning.
• Keep an organized work area and report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Inspect finished products to meet quality standards.
• Meet Production/Quality Standard consistently.

As a Sewing Machine Operator, your responsibility will be to utilize various sewing machines and move material from one section to the other for maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining sewing machines to repair and assemble various textile products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our warehouse operations.
