Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is hiring for a Sewing Machine Operator!
The Sewing Machine Operator works with commercial sewing machines to create high-quality textile products, ensuring attention to detail, quality, and efficiency to meet customer expectations. They also support other tasks performed by Textile Workers as needed to keep up with customer demands.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The role involves operating commercial sewing machines to meet quality and production standards, ensuring quality control of in-process and completed materials. Responsibilities include daily operational maintenance of sewing machines, such as setup, threading, and maintaining oil levels. Additional duties involve completing all production steps, including trimming threads, preparing, folding, bagging, tagging, and boxing to meet customer demands. The position requires performing direct labor duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee and filling in other production areas as needed. Completion of all required training is mandatory, and the role includes promptly reporting machine safety issues and notifying the supervisor when machine performance needs attention.

Pay Range: $15.50 - $16.00
