Leggett & Platt, Inc. is seeking an experienced industrial sewer for our Grand Rapids location. The role involves sewing covers for chairs and sofas, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Applicants should have at least six months of experience with industrial sewing machines and a high school diploma or GED.

Ability to operate a single stitch, double stitch and serge sewing machines. Ability to thread sewing machine and make simple adjustments. 6 months+ experience with industrial sewing machines. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and product information books. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
