Job summary

Tailored Brands, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our production team in the New Bedford area. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, assemble, repair and maintain equipment and systems used in automated and manual production processes.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, a strong mechanical background, and experience with PM, predictive and corrective maintenance. You will work with a range of tools, work overtime as needed, and collaborate with teammates to keep our operations

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience required.
• Strong mechanical background and equipment troubleshooting experience.
• Technical, vocational or trade school education is a plus.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills and technical aptitude.
• Prior diagnostic, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PM) experience preferred.
• Familiarity with various hand and electric tools.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work and projects.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English for purposes of performing necessary job duties.
• Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines.
• Problem solving and analytical skills required.
• Ability to work safely by following all maintenance department's standard operating procedures.
• Flexibility and dependability is required and must be willing to work overtime, off-shift, weekends, and holidays to support production needs.
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, assemble, repair and maintain equipment, machinery and systems related to both automated and manual production equipment.
• Perform hands‑on major and minor repairs and maintenance of material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, rolling racks, automated and mechanical conveyors, slick rail, loading dock systems, compressors, electrical and lighting panels, and other related plant equipment.
• Coordinate and participate in preventative (PM), predictive and corrective maintenance activities on machinery and equipment in the factory.
• Operate and use manual tools and powered‑shop machinery and tools to maintain a wide variety of automated and manual equipment and machinery for proper functionality.
• Support and assist in maintaining and improving the maintenance department as needed.
• Perform other related activities as assigned and needed.

The starting rate for this position is $18.03- $21.30 and may increase to $28.85 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary.

Ability to work in a production warehouse environment with exposure to various climate conditions (warm, cold, heat) and under stressful conditions such as small and high spaces with the following repetitive physical demands: continuous standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more.
