Job summary

Janome America is seeking an In-House Educational Coordinator to promote Janome products through educational and marketing initiatives, developing training programs and content for dealers and consumers.

You will create sewing project tutorials, lead demonstrations, and produce educational videos. Travel is limited to occasional trade shows; heavy lifting is required for event setups and equipment.

Qualifications

• Above average knowledge of sewing and sewing machines, especially Janome brand, and familiarity with industry trends.
• Knowledge of computers relevant to training materials and customer support.
• Ability to develop and present demonstrations, sales and sewing technique classes for events and shows.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit sewing instructions.
• Write scripts and act as on-screen talent in education and marketing videos.
• Write and edit instructions on machine and accessory use.
• Assist in creation of social media reels and posts.
• Coordinate and schedule samples and projects for use on website and brochures.
• Create original samples and embroidery designs for videos, shows, and social channels.
• Develop and edit programs for the Education Department.
• Administer and manage car stock.
• Schedule and organize dealer events.
• Light to heavy lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Balance social media/video work with education responsibilities (≈25/75).
• Support 1–2 trade shows annually offsite.
