Job summary

POLYWOOD® is seeking a hands-on Area Leader to guide daily activity in the Sewing Department. This role supports employees, keeps production flowing, prioritizes warranty and replacement work, and ensures the team has materials, information, and direction for a safe, productive shift.

The Area Leader will lead by example in a fast-paced setting, coordinating daily production planning, assignments, and prioritization of must-ship and warranty orders, while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in sewing or related production is preferred.
• Ability to plan and coordinate daily work.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sewing department operations and support team members.
• Assign employees and ensure they are in position by shift start.
• Monitor line flow, identify bottlenecks, and reallocate resources as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and enforce safety practices.
• Coordinate warranty, replacement, and priority orders for timely completion.
• Communicate needs and updates to supervisors and team via Paylocity/chat.
