Job summary

The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee sewer maintenance teams and after-hours emergency response. You will direct daily operations, coordinate with other departments, and ensure safety and efficiency in sewer system work.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with two years of related training, plus extensive experience in sewer/water maintenance and crew leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent plus two (2) years specialized training
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in sewer and/or water systems maintenance, with at least two (2) years as a crew lead or supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line supervision to maintenance workers (sewer) on projects and training when needed
• Prioritize schedules and monitor progress and performance
• Direct routine sewer system maintenance and inspections of manholes
• Oversee jetting of sewer lines and maintenance of lift stations
• Coordinate work with other departments and agencies
• Maintain public relations and respond to inquiries promptly
• Operate and supervise use of light and heavy equipment
• Assist in long-range planning and budgeting for sewer facilities
