Job summary

City of Saratoga Springs seeks an experienced frontline supervisor to oversee Sewer Maintenance teams, including jetting, lift stations, and manhole inspections. You will coordinate daily work, support after-hours emergencies, and ensure safety and efficiency across crews.

The role reports to the Assistant Public Works Director-Utilities and involves budgeting support, long-range planning, and strong communication with city staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of sewer and/or water systems maintenance experience, or related field.
• Two (2) years of crew lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line supervision to maintenance workers (sewer) on training or project basis.
• Prioritize and schedule work; monitor progress and performance.
• Direct maintenance of sewer infrastructure including jetting and manhole inspections.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and agencies; maintain public relations.
• Operate and train others in use of equipment; oversee heavy equipment as needed.
• Assist in budgeting and long-range planning for sewer facilities and equipment.
