Job summary

Miller Pipeline is hiring Sewer Locators to inspect, map, and locate sanitary and storm sewer systems using robotic CCTV equipment. Responsibilities include data entry, equipment maintenance, and coordinating with city utilities, while driving CMV vehicles and upholding safety on-site.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, teamwork ability, and a clean driving record with DOT readiness. Regional travel and emergency response are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with computers and electronics.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to drive CMV and travel regionally and respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and locate sanitary and storm sewers with CCTV equipment.
• Data entry of field recordings into video software.
• Maintain and service field equipment.
• Use receiver to locate sewer mains and laterals.
• Draw clear sewer maps of construction areas.
• Coordinate with city utility departments.
• Transfer data between rig and central servers.
• Operate CMV vehicle and ensure safe job site practices.
• Assist in demolition and trench restoration tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and on-site safety practices.

Miller Pipeline is hiring Sewer Locators. Duties include using robotic CCTV camera equipment to inspect, locate, and map sanitary and storm sewer systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Data entry on PC video recording software.
• Regular maintenance of mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Use receiver to accurately locate sewer mains and laterals.
• Legibly draw sewer map of construction area.
• Communicate with city utility departments.
• Transfer data between rig and central servers.
• Drive pickup truck/trailer or full-sized van classified as a CMV.
• Set up and maintain safe job site and safe work practices.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional or personal use of computers and electronics.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), and travel regionally and respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year in robotic CCTV operation or utility locating.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
