Job summary

Miller Pipeline is hiring to support operations field staff with essential administrative functions. You will manage work order packets, coordinate with crews, and ensure accurate data entry into the client portals.

The role requires strong communication with customers and internal teams, plus readiness to assist daily site tasks. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of construction experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• 1+ year construction work experience preferred.
• Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
• Able to respond effectively to customer questions and concerns.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a smartphone for photos and email.

Responsibilities

• Manage work order packet preparation.
• Deliver work order packets to crews and walk the job with them.
• Receive and manage completed work order documentation.
• Enter data into the customer’s online portal.
• Assist General Foreman/Superintendent with daily tasks.
• Assess jobsite readiness with operations.
• Manage 811 locate tickets and schedule sewer locates.
• Communicate with property owners about planned construction.
• Coordinate with customer’s field representatives.
• Create documentation for project extras and communicate with customer.
• Verify project paperwork accuracy before office submission.
• Maintain an organized workload list and report progress.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage work order packet preparation.
• Deliver work order packets to crews ahead of time, walking the job with them, obtaining answers to their pre-job questions.
• Receive and manage completed work order packet documentation.
• Enter completed work order packet data into customer’s online portal.
• Assist General Foreman and/or Superintendent with daily tasks.
• Assist operations department in assessing jobsite readiness.
• Manage 811 locate tickets.
• Schedule and track sewer locates.
• Communicate with property owners about planned construction on their properties.
• Coordinate with the customer’s field representatives.
• Create documentation for project extras and communicate with the customer.
• Verify the accuracy of project paperwork from the field and the customer before it goes into the office.
• Maintain an organized workload list.
• Identify and report project progress.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license
• 1+ year construction work experience
• Professional interaction and communication with internal and external customer
• Effectively respond to customer questions and concerns
• Proficiency in computer programs, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Use a smartphone or similar device for texting, taking and sending worksite photos, and email.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in business or a skilled trade
• 3 years underground utility work experience
