Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is a fast-growing infrastructure business focused on trenchless technologies and turnkey services. We seek motivated laborers to support sewer maintenance and rehabilitation projects, including operation of pipe bursting equipment, outdoor work year-round, and strict safety adherence.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, are capable of heavy lifting, and can travel up to 100% with daily per diem.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in physical labor or outdoor construction preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical.
• Must have valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 100%.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation tasks.
• Operate and maintain pipe bursting equipment.
• Follow supervisor directions and work outdoors year-round.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and comply with safety protocols.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• General laborer who performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Able to work outside year-round.
• Operation and maintenance of all pipe bursting equipment
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

S kills and Specifications

• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic or advanced math skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.

Education And Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a physical labor position and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town, 100% travel, includes daily per diem ($60 / day).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).
