Job summary

Skiatook Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher-Severe/Profound for the 2025-26 school year. The site location will be discussed during interviews.

The teacher will plan and deliver lessons to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth aligned with district curriculum. Qualifications include a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate and Severe/Profound Disabilities Certification; Elementary Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a valid Oklahoma teacher certificate.
• Severe/Profound Disabilities Certification.
• Elementary Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches district approved curriculum.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Prepares for classes assigned.
• Maintains records and progress reports.
• Communicates objectives to students.
• Assists administration with policies and rules.
• Maintains order and discipline in the classroom.
• Collaborates with staff and specialists as needed.
