Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. Responsibilities include adapting curriculum, maintaining progress records, and supporting both in-person and remote learning environments.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Associate’s degree or higher may be preferred for certain assignments
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training and medication administration training may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Provide support in remote learning settings including technology access and executive functioning strategies.
• Assist with materials preparation, tests, attendance, and classroom events such as fire drills.
