Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under the direction of licensed special education staff. You will assist individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion, and prepare instructional materials while monitoring progress and maintaining records.

Role includes providing technical physical care and helping ensure a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, including adapting curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement student accommodations, supports, modifications, procedures, and programming outlined in the student's IEP and maintain progress/behavior records.
• Assist licensed staff with materials, tests, attendance, and related paperwork; help with events like fire drills.
• Assist with online/remote learning, including technology support and ensuring assignment completion.
• Monitor safety; maintain a clean, hygienic classroom environment and assist with other duties as assigned.
