SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC is seeking an Onsite Set-Up Technician for 1st and 2nd shifts in Henderson, TN. You will set up, operate, and tend various cutting or forming machines and robots in a manufacturing environment, ensuring first-piece quality and adherence to welding and dimensional specifications.

Responsibilities include machine setup, tool alignment, feed rate adjustments, and routine maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate, or tend multiple machine tools or robots in manufacturing.
• Verify first piece of the shift is processed correctly by the machine.
• Check welding parameters and dimensions for accuracy.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and measure to ensure machine accuracy.
• Start machines and adjust feeding, cooling and lubrication mechanisms.
• Install and adjust alignment of drills, cutters, dies, and holding devices.
• Set feed rates, cutting speeds, depths and angles on machines.
• Set stops or guides to required lengths using scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation and adjust for defects or malfunctions.
• Operate lathes, borers, millers, drills, or auxiliary machines for metal/plastic workpieces.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and cleanliness; add coolant as needed.
• Maintain and comply with area procedures.

The Onsite Set-Up Technicianwill set up, operate, or tend more than one type of cutting or forming machine tool or robot.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have model changes to be used in the manufacturing areas to produce parts, in the same way to provide maintenance of the machines in the company.
• Verify that the first piece of the shift is processed correctly by the machine.
• Check that the welding, parameters and dimensions are correct.
• Inspect workpieces for defects, and measure them to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments.
• Start machines and turn handwheels or valves to engage feeding, cooling, and lubricating mechanisms.
• Select, install, and adjust alignment of drills, cutters, dies, guides, and holding devices, using templates, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
• Move controls or mount gears, cams, or templates in machines to set feed rates and cutting speeds, depths, and angles.
• Set machine stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales, rules, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.
• Set up and operate machines, such as lathes, borers, millers, drills, or auxiliary machines, to make metallic and/or plastic workpieces.
• Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, or workpieces, or adding coolant to machine reservoirs.
• Perform the maintenance of the company's machinery.
• Maintain and comply with the procedures of your existing area.

• Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Working Conditions:

• Requires physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods
• Subjected to noise from machines which may require hearing protection
• Subjected to metal particles and burrs as material and product passes through machines and to sparks from resistance welding necessitating the use of safety glasses for eye protection

Equipment Use:

• Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• SSW Machinery (Drilling machine or grinding machine including with numerical control, borer, planer, automatic lathe, milling machine).
• Occasional use of computer.
