The facility employs just under 400 full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKUs. Job Description

1. Train directly with engineers on all available processes, acting as the interface between engineering and manufacturing.
2. Responsible for training and signing off on new production associates, providing timely and effective feedback.
3. Interact with the shift coordinator to keep all machines running and escalate deviations.
4. Cover for absences in different areas as required. Load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, maintain multiple machines, set-up parameters, perform quality checks, clean machines (including confined spaces), conduct 5S, and assist in troubleshooting/maintenance.
5. Communicate actively with related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
6. Ensure flexibility to cover work shifts, including shift changes for limited periods.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school; Technical or Vocational schooling is a plus.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in metalworking manufacturing, preferably in cutting tools manufacturing.
3. Experience with HMI/CNC interface and robotics.
4. Ability to learn new processes, machines, and technologies.
5. Setup machines and measuring devices.
6. Identify and troubleshoot common machine problems.
7. Read and follow standard operating procedures.
8. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime.
9. Stand and be mobile for 8-12 hours.
10. Proper hand dexterity and ability to work in confined spaces.
11. Read and follow instructions and order preparations.
12. Lift up to 40 lbs.
13. Math skills suitable for a machining environment.
14. Read product prints and verify product matches.
15. Follow procedures for machine cleanliness and tool organization.
16. Experience with driving forklifts and walkie-stackers.
