Oak View Group is seeking a flexible Setup Crew member to join the Greenville Convention Center on an on-call, per-event basis. The role focuses on room setup and arena conversions, with pay at $17 per hour.

This is a part-time opportunity offering 401(k) savings and matching for eligible staff. Responsibilities include safe setup/tear-down, arranging seating and staging, reading event paperwork, and assisting with conversions while maintaining facility cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience in public facilities is highly preferred.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects regularly.
• Flexible schedule including long hours, overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe and effective manner.
• Set up and tear down, including risers, staging, basketball floor, chairs, tables, pipe and drape, and other items as needed for events at the facility.
• Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery, and skirting.
• Read and interpret paperwork regarding room set-ups.
• Responsible for properly cleaning and maintaining specific areas of the facility.
• Support all conversions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Setup Crew staff member is an on-call, per-event employee who will work in the areas of room sets and arena conversions at the Greenville SC Convention Center. This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.00. Benefits for Part-Time Roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until December 31, 2026.
