Your Team

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Specialist Claims, the Settlements Team Manager is responsible for the proactive management of the Settlements Claim teams, ensuring claims are handled efficiently considering cost, quality, and timeliness, while providing excellent customer service.

The role involves ensuring claims are processed according to policy guidelines, delegated authorities, company procedures, and industry laws. The manager will also contribute to the success of the Claims Team and demonstrate behaviors aligned with Hollard’s values to meet operational targets and organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Creating a positive working environment that encourages change, rewards high performance, and focuses on team wellbeing.
  2. Monitoring team performance and preparing regular reports.
  3. Developing and maintaining relationships with service providers.
  4. Ensuring compliance standards are met and facilitating necessary training.
  5. Fostering a culture of timely and decisive action on claims to prioritize customer outcomes.
  6. Identifying and recommending improvements to business performance and customer service.
  7. Managing open claim files and maintaining accurate claim reserves throughout the claims process.
About You

Strong knowledge of insurance claims disciplines, practices, products, and regulatory requirements is essential. Proven team management and leadership skills, especially in managing remote teams and third-party settlement teams, are required. For Sydney-based candidates, the role will be hybrid, with some office attendance.
