Job summary

Amicis Global in White Plains, NY is seeking a Settlement Analyst to support the Settlements team's daily and monthly deliverables. The role focuses on analyzing NYISO transactions, reconciling invoices, and providing accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with energy markets. Experience with Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile, and evaluate energy and NYISO transactions for accuracy.
• Support daily and monthly invoice estimates, analyses, and reports for stakeholders.
• Reconcile physical and financial commodity invoices with third parties and coordinate with AP and Sales & Energy Accounting teams.
• Ensure focus on reporting relating to deal structuring and settlement.
• Assist with allocating costs to cost centers, customer groups, and individual customers per NYPA procedures.
• Develop knowledge of wholesale energy contracts and agreements to support settlement calculations.

Title: Settlement Analyst

Duration: 12 Months

Summary:

This role will support the Settlements team's daily and monthly deliverables..

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile, and/or evaluate the accuracy of energy and capacity NYISO transactions and details, ensuring proper amounts and classification.
• Support the creation of daily and monthly invoice estimates, analysis, and various other reports for Accounting and other internal & external stakeholders.
• Reconcile physical and financial commodity invoices with third parties and work with Accounts Payable and Sales & Energy Accounting teams to process invoices.
• Ensure high focus for reporting relating to deal structuring and settlement.
• Assist with the processes necessary to allocate costs to the associated cost centers, customer groups, and individual customers in accordance with NYPA's procedures or contracts.
• Develop a working knowledge of all relevant wholesale energy contracts, tariffs and agreements to properly effectuate all settlement calculations and provide support for all customer and internal inquiries related to the administration of such agreements.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated ability to use Pivot Tables and database formulas (SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Proficiency in Micosoft Power BI data visualization is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field is required.
• Utility/Commodities experience is preferred.
