Job summary

Lancesoft in White Plains, NY is seeking a Settlement Analyst to support daily and monthly settlements. You will analyze NYISO transactions, prepare invoice estimates, and reconcile physical and financial invoices with internal teams and external partners. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are required.

You will develop knowledge of wholesale energy contracts and contribute to accurate cost allocations and reporting for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Job Description

This role will support the Settlements team's daily and monthly deliverables.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile, and/or evaluate the accuracy of energy and capacity NYISO transactions and details, ensuring proper amounts and classification.
• Support the creation of daily and monthly invoice estimates, analysis, and various other reports for Accounting and other internal & external stakeholders.
• Reconcile physical and financial commodity invoices with third parties and work with Accounts Payable and Sales & Energy Accounting teams to process invoices.
• Ensure high focus for reporting relating to deal structuring and settlement.
• Assist with the processes necessary to allocate costs to the associated cost centers, customer groups, and individual customers in accordance with company's procedures or contracts.
• Develop a working knowledge of all relevant wholesale energy contracts, tariffs and agreements to properly effectuate all settlement calculations and provide support for all customer and internal inquiries related to the administration of such agreements.

• Ability to demonstrate understanding of NYISO market dynamics and the role of Settlements.
• Knowledge of NYISO Settlements systems (DSS, SDX, ICAP/UCAP AMS) is preferred.
• Basic understanding of cost allocation calculation methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to use Pivot Tables and database formulas (SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Proficiency in Micosoft Power BI data visualization is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field is required.
• Utility/Commodities experience is preferred.
