Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a detail-oriented warehouse associate to support production by accurately selecting and weighing ingredients for blending, staging materials on pallets, and ensuring batch accuracy for customer orders.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, operating a stand-up forklift, adhering to allergen control procedures, inventory and cycle counting, GMP and safety rules, and maintaining a clean, organized work area in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment including stand-up forklift.

Responsibilities

• Consistently select correct ingredients and provide accurate amounts of bulk ingredients per batch requirements.
• Provide accurate weights of partial ingredients per batch requirements.
• Stage ingredients on pallets for blending.
• Follow established Allergen Control Program Procedures as it applies to shipping, receiving and warehousing
• Must be able lift up to 75 pounds continuously
• Must maintain integrity of raw materials
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Must follow good manufacturing practices, and be responsible for sanitation of assigned area.
• Must follow all Safety Rules
• Cooperates in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment

Work Environment:

The job is performed in the warehouse and production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
