Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Set Up Operator for the FM2 line on the 1st shift in Fort Mill, SC. You will set up and program machines, ensure first-test accuracy, and support ramp-up with operators.

Responsibilities include machine maintenance support, proper records, safety compliance, and adherence to procedures. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Operate medium-complex machinery for inspection.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and programming of operating machines including accuracy and effectiveness checks in first test sequences.
• Oversee ramp up of machines after setup and support Operators in operating the machines.
• Support maintenance in repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow documented procedures and processes and maintain accurate records and tracking.
• Check finished product/product component and submit for approval.
• Follow all safety and production rules and use PPE at all times.
