Job summary

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking a Setup Technician for our Jonesboro, AR facility. You will safely remove, install, align, and set up process tooling on thermoforming and extrusion equipment to meet production and quality standards.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to perform efficient changeovers and minimize downtime in a high-volume environment. Requires a driver's license and hands-on mechanical experience.

  • Experience performing precision measurements using micrometers, tape measure and dial calipers.
  • Driver's License is required.

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is looking for individuals to join their dynamic team as a Setup Technician at the Jonesboro, AR facility. The Setup Technician is responsible for safely removing, installing, aligning, and setting up process tooling on thermoforming and extrusion equipment. This position ensures equipment and tooling are properly configured to meet production requirements, product specifications, quality standards, and established process parameters.


The Setup Technician works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality personnel to complete efficient product changeovers, establish stable operating conditions, troubleshoot setup and process issues, and minimize equipment downtime and material waste.

Pay: $21.50 to $28.00 based on experience


Shifts Available:


  • Day Shift : 7am to 7pm

What You Will Do

  • Safely remove and install thermoforming and extrusion process tooling
  • Perform product and tooling changeovers according to established procedures and production schedules
  • Inspect tooling before installation for damage, wear, cleanliness, and proper condition
  • Properly position, align, secure, and verify tooling prior to equipment startup
  • Connect and disconnect tooling-related utilities, hoses, fittings, and other components as required
  • Verify proper tooling clearances and alignment using appropriate precision measuring instruments
  • Handle tooling in a manner that prevents damage to tooling, equipment, and finished products
  • Return removed tooling to its designated storage location and ensure tooling is properly identified and protected
  • Maintain clean and organized tooling and setup areas
  • Operate a forklift
  • Must travel from site to site locally occasionally via personal vehicle
  • Perform tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Driver's License is required
  • Hands on mechanical experience
  • Experience performing precision measurements utilizing micrometers, tape measure and dial calipers

  • Previous manufacturing, machine setup, mechanical, extrusion, thermoforming, or related industrial experience
