Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin is seeking a Set-Up Technician/Specialist to support production by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines in the Machine Shop. 1st shift runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of production experience preferred. Forklift certification and strong attention to detail are essential. You will document audits, perform 1st piece inspections, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment.

Qualifications

• Great attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment to support operations.
• Document production, maintenance, and QC audits performed.
• Complete 1st piece inspection prior to release for production.
• Make professional modifications and repairs to existing equipment.
• Ensure cosmetic criteria are met and communicate criteria to staff.
• Relay product and quality information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors and peers.
• Keep equipment, storage areas and the Machine Shop orderly and clean.
• Perform other duties as needed by production and business.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment as needed to support operations
• Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed
• Complete 1st piece inspection prior to release for production
• Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment
• Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees
• Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in both written and verbal forms
• Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the Machine Shop as a whole
• Other duties and projects as determined by production and business needs

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of five (5) years of previous experience preferred
• Must demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of equipment used to support production
• Established ability to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions
• Great attention to detail is required
• Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential
• Above basic math skills and reasoning ability
• Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Forklift certification
