Schaeffler is seeking a production/machine operator in Wooster, Ohio to set up and program operating machines, perform first-article checks and support ramp-up. The role requires reading instructions, using measuring tools, following safety rules, and maintaining records; a high school diploma or GED is required, with attention to quality and defects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to use instruments for measuring and to identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communications in English
• Ability to operate medium-complex machinery for use in inspection
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Your Key Responsibilities

• - Set up and programming of operating machines including accuracy and effectiveness checks in first test sequences
• - Oversee ramp up of machines after setup procedure and support Operators in operating the machines
• - Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• - Follow documented procedures and processes and maintain accurate records and tracking
• - Check finished product/product component and submits for approval
• - Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

Required:

• - High school diploma or GED equivalent
• - Ability to use instruments for measuring and to identify defects
• - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communications in English
• - Ability to operate medium-complex machinery for use in inspection
• - Good visual acuity
• - Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• - Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred:

• - Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• - Experience working with power tools
• - Ability to read blueprints
