Responsibilities
- Embrace the 1 T.E.A.M. culture
- Wear all required protective equipment per Safety Policy and OSHA standards
- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment through good housekeeping and safe work habits
- Develop knowledge of the slitter set‑up program
- Generate build sheets based on production work orders
- Build heads utilizing build sheet instructions
- Maintain knife and rubber inventory
- Clean slitter knives and slitter tooling
- Set‑up, maintain and repair production machines, tooling and other equipment
- Perform routine checks of parts to ensure product quality
- Continuously inspect machinery, equipment, and processes for safety compliance
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to execute complete setup and operation tasks for slitting to meet customer specifications and production requirements
- Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, common fractions and decimals)
- Availability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
- Effective interaction with employees at all levels of the company
- Read and comprehend simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence and memos written in English
- Write simple correspondence in English
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Industry knowledge and experience (a plus)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The noise level is usually medium to high.
- Physical demands include regularly sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talking or hearing; standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
