Job summary

Monarch Steel Company, Inc. is seeking a Set Up Operator to join our manufacturing team in Cleveland, OH. The role involves setting up and maintaining slitting equipment, generating build sheets, and producing heads per work orders while adhering to safety policies and quality standards.

The position requires basic arithmetic, reading English instructions, and dependable attendance. Training will cover PPE use and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple work instructions and orders in English.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers) and to perform basic arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
• Ability to execute complete setup and operation tasks for slitting to meet customer specifications and production requirements
• Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, common fractions and decimals)
• Availability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
• Effective interaction with employees at all levels of the company
• Read and comprehend simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence and memos written in English
• Write simple correspondence in English

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Industry knowledge and experience (a plus)
