Job summary

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Cook at The Residence at Freeman Lake to provide restaurant-style dining for residents. The role requires Serve Safe certification and 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare settings. You will work with the Culinary Services Director to ensure resident satisfaction.

You will supervise kitchen staff, prepare meals from approved menus, maintain sanitary conditions, and assist with special events and daily meal service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Serve Safe Certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare settings.
• Ability to read recipes and follow production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with Culinary Services Director to keep residents satisfied with dining programs.
• Assist in supervising culinary staff and in executing dining enhancement programs.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and storage areas; open/close kitchen.
• Estimate daily/weekly needs and communicate with food service director.
• Prepare meals according to established recipes and menus; document food temperatures.
• Ensure snacks and beverages are available for residents; assist with events and banquets.
