Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Batavia, IL, is seeking a Servo Motor Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and test various servo motors and hydraulic systems. The Servo Motor Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and testing various major brands of hydraulics, servo, and proportional valves.

Essential Functions

• Inspect, test, and repair all types of AC/DC and servo motors in a timely manner
• Disassemble components for servicing and repair, including teardown and inspection of units
• Analyze units and parts to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components

Experience, Education, And Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-year fluid power or electronics degree or formal training in industrial technology, mechanics, electronics, or related field preferred
• 1+ years relevant repair experience with servo motors
• Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to stand and move around the shop for 95-100% of the workday
