Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Software Asset ServiceNow Analyst to support enterprise software asset management, configuration management, and IT operations for a major state & local government customer in Virginia. You will ensure assets, licenses, entitlements, and CMDB records are accurately tracked and governed throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience.
• Experience in Software Asset Management, Configuration Management, or IT Operations functions.
• Experience using SAM, CMDB, Asset Management, or ITSM platforms.
• Strong data analysis and cross-system reconciliation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation and maintenance of Software Asset and CI data in the CMDB.
• Maintain assets, entitlements, and configuration records in ServiceNow and integrated systems.
• Analyze license utilization and entitlement data for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform data reconciliation across tools and sources of record.
• Develop dashboards and metrics for software governance and operational readiness.
• Support governance activities including audits and license compliance.
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Cybersecurity, and Service Management teams.
• Assist in change management and configuration process improvements.
