Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ServiceNow Senior Project Manager based in the United States.

Take the lead on complex technology initiatives that help enterprise clients accelerate digital transformation and improve service delivery.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee high-impact IT projects, coordinating teams, stakeholders, budgets, timelines, and deliverables from initiation through implementation.

You will apply Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management methodologies to ensure projects meet business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Working closely with technical teams, executive stakeholders, vendors, and client organizations, you will foster collaboration, resolve challenges, and keep projects moving forward.

Your leadership will help teams become more autonomous, strengthen delivery processes, and identify opportunities to expand services within existing client environments.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution in a technology‑driven environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and diverse perspectives.

You will have the opportunity to influence project outcomes, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to meaningful enterprise technology transformation.

Accountabilities

As a ServiceNow Senior Project Manager, you will oversee complex technical projects and coordinate multiple workstreams to ensure successful delivery, operational efficiency, and strong client relationships. You will combine structured project management with Agile coaching, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement.

  • Project planning and execution: Lead technical projects from initiation through completion, defining scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.

  • Agile and Scrum leadership: Guide project teams and client organizations in adopting Agile and Scrum practices, encouraging self‑organization, continuous improvement, collaboration, and sustainable delivery.

  • Team coaching and facilitation: Assess team maturity, coach members toward stronger Agile practices, facilitate discussions and decision‑making, resolve conflicts, and remove impediments that affect delivery.

  • Client relationship management: Serve as a primary point of contact for project‑related matters, understand client needs, manage expectations, communicate progress, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.

  • Resource and budget management: Assess resource utilization, identify staffing requirements, allocate responsibilities, monitor project expenditure, and support accurate forecasting for current and future initiatives.

  • Risk and issue management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and delivery issues, ensuring that scope, deadlines, quality standards, and business goals remain on track.

  • Cross‑functional coordination: Coordinate activities across technical teams, internal departments, client organizations, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain alignment and deliver agreed outcomes.

  • Executive communication and stakeholder engagement: Communicate project goals, critical success factors, progress, and risks clearly to stakeholders, including executive‑level clients. Facilitate negotiations and build consensus when priorities or viewpoints differ.

  • Service delivery and client satisfaction: Ensure projects meet contractual obligations, client requirements, and agreed quality standards while maintaining transparency and fostering trusted working relationships.

  • Product backlog and prioritization support: Educate and support product sponsors in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure teams focus on the most valuable work.

  • Business development and revenue opportunities: Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client environments, support additional services revenue, and align potential offerings with client needs.

  • Vendor and subcontractor oversight: Coordinate external contributors, monitor deliverables, and ensure third‑party work meets project requirements and agreed timelines.

  • Project closure and continuous improvement: Lead formal project handovers, document acceptance and ongoing activities, conduct post‑implementation reviews, and implement improvements to project management processes.

  • Project systems and documentation: Maintain accurate project information, financial data, schedules, and status updates using project management and business systems, including Salesforce and related financial management platforms.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced project management professional with a strong background in complex IT delivery, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage high‑visibility client engagements independently. The ideal candidate combines technical project management expertise with excellent communication, analytical thinking, negotiation, and team leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage medium‑to‑high‑risk, high‑complexity projects with significant client visibility.

  • Strong knowledge of project management standards, procedures, and best practices, including the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

  • Experience applying Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies across different IT project environments and delivery lifecycles.

  • Understanding of IT project phases, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, conversions, incremental delivery, and rapid delivery approaches.

  • Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, resource allocations, schedules, and deliverables.

  • Strong risk management and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify dependencies, resolve issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience facilitating discussions and presenting information to executive‑level stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus among parties with differing priorities.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing team performance, and fostering accountability, trust, and high morale.

  • Advanced proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools.

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management and project financial systems, including Salesforce and similar platforms.

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining delivery quality.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive assignments with discretion and professionalism.

  • A client‑focused mindset, with the ability to understand business requirements and align project outcomes with organizational goals.

  • Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to recommend process enhancements and guide teams through change.

Experience managing ServiceNow implementations or enterprise service management projects would be particularly relevant to this position.
