Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team is seeking a Lead Software / Platform Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of the ServiceNow Platform. This role focuses on ITSM, ITOM, HRSD and platform capabilities with a strong emphasis on Discovery and CSDM alignment.

The role requires deep expertise in ITSM/ITOM, CMDB strategy, scripting (JavaScript/Glide), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub. You will mentor engineers, enforce governance, and lead enterprise integrations across the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience focused on ServiceNow platform engineering and architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in ITSM including core process design workflow automation and operational reporting.
• Proven expertise in ITOM with deep experience in Discovery Event Management Service Mapping and/or CMDB design aligned to CSDM.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow scripting including JavaScript and Glide APIs.
• Strong experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub for ITSM and ITOM orchestration and automation.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem solving communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD and other platform capabilities.
• Lead ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request Fulfillment and Knowledge Management.
• Lead ITOM implementations with Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping and health modeling aligned to CSDM.
• Own CMDB strategy including data model design, Discovery patterns, data quality and lifecycle governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design workflows and deliver enhancements, automations and integrations.
• Mentor engineers and developers to foster technical excellence and operational stability.
• Establish and enforce platform governance, architectural patterns and code quality standards.
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.
• Stay current with ServiceNow releases and industry trends to drive innovation.
