Zusammenfassung

CEMEX in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a maintenance-focused team member to perform tasks safely and professionally at the plant, keep work areas clean, and assist other crew members. You may participate in outages, respond to callouts, and train others, while adhering to plant rules and safety standards.

LT positions require MSHA certification or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable period. You will report safety issues to Plant Management and support other assignments as needed.

Qualifikationen

• College, Military service, trade diploma or journeyman certificate preferred.
• MSHA Certification required (or must obtain within reasonable period).

Job Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and company policies.
• Keep all work areas safe, clean, and orderly.
• Assists other job classifications as needed.
• Participates in plant overhaul outages as needed.
• Responds to reasonable callouts as needed.
• Lubricate & oil equipment as needed.
• Painting, shoveling, sweeping and removing debris from jobs.
• Vacation relief as needed.
• Trains other employees as needed.
• Attends and participates in department and team meetings and training classes.
• Assists the Tire Handlers with the tire handling system as needed.
• Report any equipment or safety issues to Plant Management.
• Any other assignments required by Plant Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to physically perform all essential job functions.
• Be able to work all hours and shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
• Heavy Work-Exerting up to 50 pounds or force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
