Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience in aggregate, cement or heavy industrial operations preferred.
• Power distribution up to 4160 volts and motor control knowledge.
• Programmable logic control and digital drive experience.
• Must read/write/speak English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work and repairs on industrial/mining equipment.
• Install, adjust and maintain electrical equipment, gauges and instruments.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications.
• Ensure manufacturers standards of repair and maintenance are followed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety compliance at all times.
• Adhere to CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations.
• Wear proper safety equipment and prioritize tasks as a team member or individually.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

An electrician performs all types of electrical jobs throughout assigned locations or region. Electrical jobs include maintenance and installation of equipment and machinery used in production and manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work and repairs on industrial/mining equipment


• Install, adjust and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges and instruments


• Troubleshoot, evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications

• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned


• Maintain good housekeeping

• Computer literate and able to use existing systems and grow into company networked program of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.


• SAP experience is a plus


• Excellent communication skills and attention to details


• Strong analytical/problem solving skills


• Able to read and understand English sufficiently to be able to read technical information contained in manuals, reports and related instructions


• Able to develop, read and use mechanical, electrical and structural sketches, blue prints and drawings


• Good mathematic/mechanical aptitude

Working Conditions

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors


• Must wear protective equipment while at the location


• Electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with motor control circuits and relay logic


• Able to prioritize tasks and work as a team member, as well as individually

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls


• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment


• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
