Martha's Vineyard Shipyard in Vineyard Haven, MA seeks a Service Writer to be the face of our service operations. This full-time, year-round role requires strong customer service and attention to detail.

You’ll prepare labor, parts, and repair estimates, track work through completion, and keep boat owners informed with timely updates.

• Boat knowledge: Solid understanding of boats, marine systems, and shipyard terminology is required.
• Tech-savvy: Comfortable navigating digital management software, inventory systems, and modern communication tools.
• Detail-oriented & Organized: Exceptional tracking abilities to keep work orders accurate and projects moving smoothly.
• Adaptable & Driven: Willing to take on new challenges and adjust as daily shipyard priorities evolve.
• People skills: High level of patience, exceptional customer service skills, and a good sense of humor.
