Job summary

Monroe Tractor & Implement Co. in Westborough, MA is seeking a Service Writer to support our parts and service teams. You will help create work orders, manage repair orders, and ensure accurate invoicing and scheduling, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires at least one year of experience in a service writing or parts role, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Word. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a supportive family-owned environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a Service Writer role or service/parts department.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage work orders.
• Review repair orders for accuracy.
• Process parts, invoices, and labor invoices for accounting.
• Assist in scheduling service work.
• Keep the service manager updated on all orders.
• Assist with warranties.
• Liaise between parts and service.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with products and service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One or more years of experience in a Service Writer position and/or service or parts department
• Great communication skills
• Familiarity with agricultural and/or construction equipment is a plus
• Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Self-starter with attention to detail, strong organization, and is goal-oriented
• Comfortable dealing with the public
• Strong team player
• Able to lift 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating work orders
• Review and maintain all repair orders for accuracy and completeness
• Process records of parts requisitions, parts invoices, material invoices and outside labor invoices to ensure proper accounting
• Assist in scheduling of service work
• Keep the service manager informed on all work orders
• Assist with warranties
• Intermediary between parts and service, technician lead contact for parts
• Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products and service

Pay Range

$19 - $28 per hour
