Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Fuel Disbursement Clerk at our Wisconsin location. You will distribute gasoline, record usage, and support auction operations with attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include operating AS400, assisting customers, and aiding in sale day activities, with a focus on compliance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a related field or 5 years in a related field.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
• Enter fuel usage in AS400 via portable terminal (PT).
• Start vehicles, check fuel gauges, mark vehicles that need fuel, then refuel.
• Report and record Auction gasoline levels and alert the proper person to avoid shortages.
• Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor.
• Report damage or malfunctioning equipment on vehicles (pumps, fuel trucks).
• Assist customers in locating vehicles.
• Assist in sale day duties (drive, lane leader, jump start vehicles).
• Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence activities.

Job description

USD 15.10 - 22.69 per hour

• Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
• Enter fuel usage in AS400 via portable terminal (PT).
• Start vehicles, check fuel gages, mark vehicles that need fuel, and return to fuel them.
• Report and record Auction gasoline levels and alert proper person to avoid running out of gasoline in main fill area.
• Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor.
• Report damage or malfunctioning equipment on vehicles (i.e., pumps, fuel trucks).
• Assist in sale day duties as needed (i.e. drive, act as lane leader, jump start vehicles, etc.).
• Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement when necessary.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;
• OR 5 years' experience in a related field
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  

Preferred

• Prior Auction experience and general knowledge of Auction operations preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Ability to work safely in a fast paced environment.
• Effective customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.10 - $22.69/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
