Job summary

Asphalt Specialists, LLC in Michigan seeks a backhoe operator to support excavation, grading and paving projects. You will run the backhoe, open/close the bucket, operate safely, and coordinate with dispatchers to complete daily tasks.

A valid Class A license with 2–3 years backhoe experience and a clean driving record are required. Premium safety mindset and ability to work weekends and overtime are essential; you will maintain daily logs and adhere to DOT PPE requirements while delivering

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A driver license with no restrictions.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience operating a backhoe.
• Ability to perform daily safety checks on equipment.

• Keep daily driver’s log and maintain equipment cleanliness.

As a backhoe operator, understanding how the machine operates is extremely important. This includes opening and closing the bucket, raising and lowering the boom, and digging, lifting and dumping dirt. The operator must understand how to drive the backhoe both forward and backward and how to use the stabilizers to prevent machine movement while digging.
