Job Description

Location

This position is located in Natomas/Sacramento, CA.

Position Summary

Responsible for the installation, service, and repair of GPS and laser-based positioning & data products on various makes and models of construction equipment.

Qualifications Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair construction technology equipment, focusing on Laser, GPS, and Robotic controls.
• Prepare accurate estimates for customer repairs.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently; work orders, service reports, allocation of time, and parts tracking.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by meeting customer needs and deadlines.
• Complete scheduled repairs safely and efficiently.
• Assist with operator training.
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
• Assist with ordering parts and organizing the parts warehouse.
• Perform data entry as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills and Special Training

• Knowledge of GPS & Laser Machine Control Products, including but not limited to: Caterpillar AccuGrade, Trimble, or Topcon systems.
• Construction or agricultural equipment mechanical background.
• Welding certification or proficiency demonstration.
• Experience with hydraulic system installation and repair.
• Ability to read wiring schematics used in installation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with computer software such as MS Office and Trimble/Caterpillar warranty tracking.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED plus one or more years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record required.

Physical Demands

Regularly sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, and stoop. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Work near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, weather conditions, chemicals, vibration, and high places. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation

Pay Range: $23 - $28 hourly, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), profit sharing, holidays, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
